Questions we can answer truthfully

What happens when I hit my quota?
Ingestion returns HTTP 429. Nothing is silently dropped, and your existing ledger stays fully queryable and exportable.
Can I get my data out?
Always. GET /export streams your entire ledger as cursor-paged NDJSON, on every tier, forever.
Do you hold compliance certifications?
Not today. What Empress gives you is the raw material — an immutable, exportable audit ledger — for your own compliance workflows (GDPR, EU AI Act, and similar).
Can I self-host?
Not today. Self-hosting is on the roadmap; full data sovereignty is available now via complete ledger export.
